With Halloween only around the corner and what with it being perfectly timed around half term, we wanted to let you know what we plan to do during the up and coming school holiday workshops!
In recent years we have painted fun pumpkins, designed actual wicked witches shoes and painted and drawn lots of spooky Halloween pictures.
This year I wanted to focus on the Day of the Dead, traditionally celebrated in Mexico around 2nd November for close loved ones long gone. The holiday includes festivals and parades, building private altars honouring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favourite foods and beverages of the departed.
A good children's movie to watch which is themed around this festival is The Story of Life - the film actually gave me the idea to focus on this for Halloween at The Creative Hub. The artwork and creations in the film are specular.
At The Creative Hub this Halloween we will be designing and making our own Day of the Dead Skulls, lanterns, haunted houses and lots more!
These are by far the most popular of workshops, call now to book your child a place. The studio can take up to 8 children at one time - why not book a group and take over the studio?
